The Challenge:
The Town of Newmarket and the Town of Aurora went through a consolidation and now share a fire department. By combining two fire halls, the number of property and staff files increased substantially and the fire station was running out of space. Administration staff stored files in numerous filing cabinets that occupied valuable floor space.
Not only was the floor space cramped, but important files were not always readily accessible to staff.

The Solution:

The system maximizes storage capacity inside the fire department’s reception area. The mechanical assist capability enables all staff to open and close the carriages with ease and efficiency.

The Result:
Central York Fire Services has successfully consolidated all of its property files and staff files for the towns of Aurora and Newmarket inside Spacefile’s Mechanical Assist Mobile (SDS) system. The fire department has been able to remove its old traditional lateral filing cabinets thereby opening up valuable floor space.
